Isn't Yoga a Stretching Class?
Asana can feel like a "stretching class", it's true. Your body will be refreshed with the twists, rhythmic breathing, and invigorating movement of blood and tissue.
But to reduce yoga to stretching is to miss the nectar of the philosophy, the ethics and even the mechanics of awakening.
At the core of a yoga practice, even if it feels like a fitness class, there is an ancient wisdom that has a primary purpose of awakening the ego-self and moving the human condition towards liberation.
At Gnosis Yoga School, the intention is to provide an inclusive and knowledgable framework for the "stretching" or "fitness" aspect of the practice, while simultaneously immersing into an exploration of the essence of the practice.

Inspired by Himalayan Tradition
Embodied in universal reverence.
Truth of enlightenment is not reserved for a "yoga" practice exclusively. Yoga, instead, is a system to which will yield certain results. Many of the threads we see in yoga are woven throughout the tapestry of mankind, showing up in ancient Greece, the groves of the Druids, the Polynesian traditions of mana and more. Gnosis Yoga is inspired by, and would not be possible without the grace of the Himalayan Tradition and knowledge passed down so freely from teacher to student.
It is inspired by Himalayan Tradition; and it is present with the universality of truth that is revealed through devoted action.
