Rooted in the wild.

Colby Michelle

Hi, I'm Colby Michelle

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the simple power of I am—how introducing yourself can hold so much: the things you love, the roles you carry, and the callings that keep unfolding. For me, that “I am” includes being a mother, a partner, a creative, and someone who’s endlessly inspired by the wild and the sacred in everyday life.

My family is everything to me, and motherhood has been my greatest teacher. I’m also deeply aware of my communal gifts—the ways I’m called to serve, create, and inspire. I don’t have it all figured out (and maybe that’s the point), but I’m learning how to honour both the mother and the maker, the home and the horizon.

I tend to write and speak from a deep place—but if we ever meet, you’ll also find I’m a bit of a goofball. I love laughing, dancing badly, and not taking myself too seriously.

My yoga path “officially” began in India in 2020, but really it started long before—through travel, healing, and a thousand quiet moments on the mat. Most of what I’ve learned feels less like something to teach and more like something that reveals itself in conversation, or in those perfectly-timed moments life hands you.

And then there’s Boreal Hut—a love project born from my husband’s connection to hunting and harvest, and my love of herbs and medicine-making. It’s our shared expression of reverence for the land and the wild.
